Waverly Community Fund

The Waverly Community Fund is overseen by a diverse volunteer board with expertise in understanding the community's issues, needs and resources. The vision of the board is to reach out to the community and foster that desire to give back to insure that current and future generations of Waverly citizens may enjoy the quality of life which is uniquely Waverly.

Our Mission, Our Commitment
The Waverly Community Fund’s is a charitable organization dedicated to nurturing and nourishing Waverly’s heritage and future. The fund has a rich heritage within the Waverly area as it represents the joining of the Waverly Community Foundation General Fund and the Waverly Quality of Life Fund. This new organization was recently formed to be the focal point for friends of Waverly to make a lasting gift to the community. In addition, the new fund will be affiliated with the Bremer County Foundation as a qualified community foundation.

The new fund will draw on the strengths of each preceding organizations. The former funds have a long history of investing in the community. The fund has a base of over $400,000 in endowed gifts. The Bremer County Foundation brings the expertise to manage many different kinds of gifts including donor advised funds, charitable gift annuities, and special endowed gifts. The new fund will enable donors to take full advantage of all possible tax deductions and credits with its status as a qualified community foundation.
